There is an intellectual contradiction in the establishment of rules (standards) and the desire for freedom of thought and for life's activities.
In the area of marriage, those rules self-imposed and applied to another present a warily transversal path balanced on a life of adventure sometimes and life of a planned trip (vacations) the rest of the time. Summary, life is a balance of security (boredom at times) and adventure. Luck be your lady if you achieve the successful combination.

A personal belief is if I am incapable of solving a problem or I am incapable of understanding I cannot solve the problem, that means I am not qualified to do the job (make a decision). There seems to be people whose actions indicate they are incapable of understanding they cannot solve a problem confusing the situation with making the decision is the solution to a problem and rationalizing the decision solves the problem despite not achieving that goal. Sometimes I suspect some think their next decision will solve the problem.
