The clue woven into the yarn, "history repeats itself" is that the "story" has been told before. Sometimes ingenuity (responsibility) can reveal what the repetition point will be (begin/end) since it is known that the current story is metaphorically, figuratively or elsewise plagiarized from history. The curtain dropping end is the only part of the performance that will happen only once.
Unpredictables shall be called "miracles". They are not foreseeable (predictable), so their effect has a case-by-case impact on the performance of reality.
No such word I predict this moment but not always.

To me what's next is guaranteed unknown. Win or lose is relative. The plan has long been known by the process of natural repetition. Some repeats happen in moments of time some figuratively in what seems to be eternity. Which period length prevails is the unknown factor that is not guaranteed a product of history itself. With my twinge for silliness being my attribute, I foresee that something will happen, or I and you will not know it hasn't again happened, ever in this state of existence.
Footnote: Physical parameters are an aspect of history in this supposition that does not have full control of events/conditions to provide identification of what is controlling history. From a different angle this issue/concept is a social science matter. The physical science is not required to participate in all aspects. One certainty is repetition will appear sometime somewhere for everything. Believe it or not.
