Opinion: A skill learned or perhaps natural for a politician is keeping their activity as low as possible to avoid attention. Amazing discipline is needed to control one's egotistical need for publicity. Exceptions I am aware of are minimal. A clue I may have encountered is if the politician offers to be an intermediary in your contact with bureaucracy instead of fixing the bureaucracy. Keep those wheels rolling.
