Greed is a characteristic of all human beings (1) that compels them to collect (some horde*) what they have accumulated that is more applicable to physical objects but not exclusively that the individual has acquired and earned thus owns as a result of their own decisions during their own life.

Jealousy is a characteristic of many human beings but not all that compels them to wish to have (collect and horde, sometimes, not frequently) what other individuals have accumulated that their own decisions prevented themself from acquiring during their life. Jealousy is in addition to greed.

(1) There may be a few exceptions who think they are exceptions.

*horde can have either of at least two meanings:

 a. acquire, accumulate and retain an item or items for the use of such item or items. Usually Real and personal property.

 b. obsess and implement the acquisition and retention of an item or items for the satisfaction of having the item(s). More likely but not exclusively, money, gold, jewelry, etcetera.

Note: the essence of this comment is the introduction of coveting what others have. Is it a sin? The situation seems to generate a bit of "bad" behavior/decisions.
