Can I be sure most if not everyone understands that the phrase "peace keeping" is figuratively the intellectual mental example of a Rube Goldberg machine. The explanation is in the application. How is peace kept, with the threat of violence. Problem solved. No more violence. Well perhaps a more accurate assessment is, the problem is hidden and/or deferred. Example: humanity's history. Stick a pin in the timeline and the pin will find a spot not too far from or directly on peace keeping and hate keeping in action.
Note: the inference from the use of the Rube Goldberg machine is that there is a simpler alternative. There is, but when it will be employed is the unknown.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability.
