During the prior administration I recall reading, viewing and listening to a lot of deception, propaganda and delusions. In a political war, those conquering are not likely to know within any issue that has been left what is actual from what is fake. If careful, unnecessary self-injury can be avoided if the path is viewed, analyzed and discussed to the extent possible before stepping on a figurative destructive device(s) which will be launched with lawfare.
Or, if more fantasy reference is needed. Monsters may be bigger than they appear. Look before one leaps into its lair.
