I'm on the fence wondering if those speaking as a reaction to President Donald J Trump's actions and comments concerning tariffs are planting a seed that seems to be in all the discussions or speeches. The seed is the pride and belief in the resilience of their country/nation and their fellow citizens. One may view it as a swelling of a national allegiance (nationalism maybe?). With that situation it would be understandable that they want all their fellow citizens thus their country to succeed and thrive. Or as it has been said frequently, make a county great, again?
One hinderance to globalism is nationalism. Pride can be such a motivating force. Leaders have an understanding of human nature and performance. The mantra Make America Great Again not so unexpectedly makes others want to be great for their Country's and neighbors' sakes for a first time or again.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.

Many threads of wisdom flow freely, constantly or is it just reality like that expressed in lyrics in the Simon & Garfunkel song, "The Boxer" wherein stated: "All lies in jest when a man hears what he wants to hear and forgets all the rest". So, history is guided to the next round of mental boxing. With others sometimes?
