Issues (perception) began to accelerate toward a negative outlook when the phrase "We the people" morphed into "Us (U.S.) the government". My money is or the prognostication is that starting at the beginning of humanity it has been this path pursued. Human nature in a generalized perspective is predictable. The issue and when and where it will occur are the variables which ultimately will have a known by all and denied by some outcome replicated from our past. As the French so eloquently evaluated this situation: c'est la vie.
