This morning, I was (figuratively) admonished by the government representative (a judge) assuming the role of my father (or mother) with the punishment of a payment from my allowance in the amount of $235.00 US. The mischief that was perpetrated upon the community (government via EPA Regs) was watering my lawn at 6 AM on a Monday having previously been reeducated that Wednesday is the day to water the property based on the street address of my castle. This unnatural disaster I wantonly cast upon society I had explained (obviously) unsuccessfully to the temporary parent that I was not guilty. To rationalize my pleading, I assured him that I had successfully found a periodic schedule using an equal amount of the time allotted for Wednesday spread equally over 3 days. The purpose, of this fanatical extravaganza of revolt was to help eliminate the near-life and near-death cyclical nature of the weekly watering of the landscape vegetation. Report, the 3-day program was working. The vegetation has been perking up routinely.

The bad news, you know from above, is that success mitigating the torturous treatment of the vegetation was not the "law". Earnestly and adamantly, it is so that the law is the law, and the law has to prevail. So says the law.

Footnote: the original fine was $100.00 plus court costs. But as Dad* told me, he detected I may not adhere to his suggestion again. So, he doubled the fine & costs to make me think twice, again. I know, 2 twices adds up to four. Just as silly as the whole story is silly.

And most importantly, the wisdom of government prevails, again. Mankind will survive and move on.
