I can only attempt to structure my mental and emotional direction from the point of view of a borg singularity. I.E. A member of the colony just not attached. Sort of like a family! My, how things sound so different but are eerily constructed the same.

A communism, marxism, socialism foundation is jealousy.  The ism is based on wanting the results of what other people have achieved, not what you have done or what you must do to achieve the same results as those you envy have accomplished.

"Billionaires will squeeze every penny out of you" (1) (after government has stolen all they can from you), if you want to spend the penny on something they (billionaires) made that you voluntarily decide you want to buy. Available in the future is the possibility of a trip to Mars. Or you can drop the penny in your piggy bank to save up for the future.
