When a politician says he can solve a problem, it means he doesn’t have to waste his money on something that won’t work.
Or stated from a different perspective:
Why do politicians not solve other’s problems?
- *He doesn’t have the knowledge or skills do it personally.
- He knows it can’t be done. (and doesn’t care)
- He doesn’t want it fixed.
If there is a solution, he would tell the person asking where to find it.
- He, she or it were the options available. He is the chosen one. Mentally substitute you own personal preference.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
