Government has and continues to increasingly make itself the demonstrable example of why "charity begins at home." Without the anchor of personal responsibility to a family or just oneself, or the personal responsibility of individuals who will receive no remuneration for working with a charity the temptation will ultimately prevail with a decision to solve their personal problems with an incorrect financial solution. We are human. Failure will happen. A significant portion of government is a charity of and for failures.
If one wants to think this is judgmental. I judge no one. God has not issued a license to me to judge.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
