Silly or ironic, choose the word most appropriate or both words for your mental evaluation when contemplating that each individual has the right and currently the freedom to choose to fail or succeed. Silly when someone ignores history. Particularly when history demonstrates that the task has resulted consistently in failure. Somehow within the captured thoughts of their belief it is felt strongly that the multiple times what has been done before just hasn't been done correctly. For sure they will succeed even if the endeavor is destructive.
