Perhaps the incorrect or not most appropriate word being used is "fake". For children a phrase that is better to use is "make pretend". The difficulty using the phrase is the recommended age to use it starts when a child first speaks recognizable words and may apply until the day that grown child leaves this earth due to old age. The longevity occurs most often when the child doesn't intellectually grow-up. Although this characteristic is not restricted to reporters and politicians, this developmental limitation is frequently noted among them.
