A reason why governments always have and always will fail is because ultimately the governed can exist without another group of people telling them what to do and how to do it. The governing cannot exist without the people who they can tell what to do and how to do it.
Translation:
When society is no longer willing to allow their work to be confiscated for the benefit of others, those others will have to find a way to survive on their own.
