Should I think meeting a politician would result in a consensual constructive discussion that would have an impact on behavior here are two questions I would start* that conversation with.
1. how many people till now have your decisions "hurt" (1)?
2. how many of those who have been hurt have you demonstrably assisted to relieve their burden.
These questions are not asked to be confrontational. My purpose is to observe their demeanor they demonstrate with their reaction.
