Many wonder why so much is always heard about bad things happening and not hear as much about good things happening. People are less likely to need to protect themselves from good as they must be prepared to protect themselves from bad. And after the good and the bad remains the ugly (1). This third condition exposes itself for example as reporters/editors who tend toward pathologically sadistic in their nature.
