Other than the irrationality* of the word misinformation (as it is implied in this situation), is the logical inference that those to whom the word is directed are incapable of thinking on their own. Which, in the current environment, has too much possibility of being correct.
*irrationality in this comment refers to the circular logic it takes to present information that proclaims information can be mistaken.
