Marx Borg.

Marxism and all the tethering tentacles that comprise it are driven to assimilate human beings. They are (figuratively) a pre borg (1) phenomenon!
(1) Borg as represented in the Star Trek TV series. The Voyager is the first (not confirmed) series in which the Borg emerged.
