The world suffered through but enjoyed the olympics. Then the world enjoyed the Paralympics. Now the world is preparing for demolympics (1) in chicago. (2)
(1) Demolympics can be replaced with the world demon-lympics, or democrat-lympics. Choose what you envision.
(2) Proper grammar would encourage me to capitalize the word. However there seems to be more improper than proper about chicago these days. So for the grammar-lympics I won't even qualify for a brass ring.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
