Unfortunately, slowly but surely it seems (to me) people are experiencing the surfacing of their subconscious awareness up to a depth of conscious awareness. The awareness is their own obsession with the elimination of others self-protection and personal freedoms, particularly with the issues of firearms and speech (1). The surfacing consciousness may be attributable to their own perception that the impact of the obsessions is approaching themselves. How far down (2) will society dive before it again gains control of itself significantly? History has too many examples across a broad spectrum from which to choose. I pray it ain't [sic] too far to go and I pray that the order to (3) blow the main ballast is not necessary to survive. The metaphor of life's history shall continue with the pendulum arc symbolized as a rising boat. I pray the boat surfaces with no or as minimal as possible damage to society (the boat).

(1) There are many issues confronting society. Self-protection and speech are very notable at this time.
(2) "How far down" is referring to individual's mental control as an addict may experience.
(3) Submariner lingo is used because it fit into the contextual framework. One reason the command to "blow the main ballast" generally will occur is if a catastrophic event is perceived so that the boat and crew will make it to the surface. Hopefully.
