The image a growing number of the agencies, employees and contractors of government are creating is that what they are supposed to do they can't do or at least do correctly. If they can't do, or won't do what they are supposed to do, then the same result can be achieved if they are there or not there. (employed or not employed). Not so ironic that this is a characteristic demonstrated by many elected employees and even less ironic that it has proliferated past the development of a more productive, skilled government work force.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
