Might the short story of leftism, liberalism, progressivism and all the others of that mentality be that it appears to offer a great ride to the bottom that has no way back to the top. Metaphorically down to hell with no transportation out of hell back to heaven (God). Well, maybe at least as far back as purgatory (humanity).
