In the pre-enlightenment era, (1970's) the schtick was to stop using refined dinosaur juice because by some genius's irrational thought process the world would run out of supply in 20 (consistent magical number used often to predict the end of the world) years. Which running out of fossil juice, would solve their problem. Padded rooms flash through my thoughts.

An *abstract metaphor that describes while at the same time is defining the meaning of censorship. Cleaning up the mess created by throwing a Karo saturated pancake at a wall at a sponsored community breakfast consisting of free pancakes.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
