Each moment (continuously) the continental plates are moving. When mankind can halt that tectonic movement, I shall be a believer that mankind can have an effect on climate.
Note: Based on current knowledge (my own) I would be inclined to believe that the earth, therefore mankind will no longer exist as earthlings. Perhaps "Everyone's Gone To The Moon" (1) or Mars where we have transed into My Favorite Martian(s). (2)
