May it be suggested that shame is not understood nor felt by someone who has no moral standards with no mental control. People have rationalized and internalized the concept of "safe space". As behavior indicates it is a mental fence blocking/filtering ideas. It is constructed in their mind and only data/information that conforms to the required meaning and/or purpose of the issue is entered into the space. In other words, only what is useful is entered into their mind. Everything else is just discarded (blanked out). A vivid example is claiming there is a mostly peaceful demonstration in front of a fiery backdrop.
