Perhaps the figurative "ides of March" (1) for gun control advocates will be the day that those who do not want their liberty infringed start to behave the way the control advocates behave. Advocates have a propensity to treat others without respect of their rights and for their opinions.
(1) "ides of March" as this phrase is used by Shakespeare, ides is mid point (approximately the 15th). It is the day Julius Ceasar was assassinated.
