I am compelled to acknowledge using mankind's own historical performance that the human race is advancing predictably since the choice of a person named Barabbas and not the Man named Jesus. Wasn't the story that one of the men was in the hot spot because of things he actually had done, and the other was in a spot because they were afraid of Him and most likely what they imagined He would/could do to them? If you think repetition is boring, hold onto that thought. And some may think that that soap operas are all made-up.
