Bear with me as I blather for a moment. I watched a "trailer" for the movie "Flynn". It refers to a documentary about General Michael Flynn. As a broad synopsis of the movie the theory seems in tune with our reality. What piqued my mind's thoughts was the sub-title "Deliver the Truth, Whatever the Cost." Might I suggest that for a significant portion of mankind may be more intellectually in tune thus respond to the sub-title slightly paraphrased to be: Deliver the Cost, regardless of Truth.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
