The fields (specialties) of medicine seems to be plagued with an intellectual dysphoria that is leading development of treatments that will cure the developer's ills which are their financial dreams. Rather than the physical and/or mental illness of a patient. It is hurting many people. Collateral damage (damage to collateral) one could call it.
