Man(and woman)kind may be better off if more time is spent searching (1) for actual intelligence instead of the scramble to discover artificial intelligence. Although we may not be able to distinguish between the two, actual vs artificial, at first. With a bit of thought we can make it through the rough time.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
