What is one problem encountered with the picture republicans, and some others paint of themselves? Their behavior projects the aura of a preference to be subservient to a few and disdainfully oblivious to their many constituents. One may surmise a reason is they think they have no choice? Principles compromised are likely to result in compromised principals (politicians, or any individuals).

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
