If asked politely, how much ammunition should a person have, it would become known that at a minimum no less than the sum total of all the ammunition in all the municipal police/sheriff facilities and carried on their bodies and in the storage areas of vehicles or other off-site containment and practice facilities at the same moment in time. Whatever "law enforcement" is expecting that warrants the amount they choose, I'll agree is much more likely to reflect more accurately what is needed to have on-hand than whatever estimate I may devise. Unless my estimated quantity is greater than their actual quantity.
