Help me understand that a person goes to a meeting at which they know they will attempt to cajole another person to eliminate themself (bow-out) from participating in a competitive event. Did it not come to mind before the meeting that even if the person attempting to succeed at persuasion, thought they could successfully convince the other person to agree, what would stop that other person from denying such an agreement was achieved after the meeting? Was there to be a signed written agreement or was the meeting recorded by both parties knowingly or unknowingly? Or maybe it was to be built on the foundation of a back-room hand shake?
Hmm. As Bugs Bunny quires, "What's up doc?" (1)
(1) Bugs Bunny is a cartoon. For those unfamiliar, please look it up.

To turn my leering leaching eye to the realm of "Notes", for example "Community Notes" and all other sources of information sometimes also called data either for or not for "checking" or any other purpose such as research. Can there be identified anything that is useless before one's encounter with such note (source)?

What I am quite but not completely sure of is that I would support not preventing anyone from not doing what they do not want to do. However, in some situations I would not recommend such behavior.
