For quite some time, i.e. from the beginning of (1) (wo)mankind, the phrase "do it for the children (2)" has been used as a euphemism for the desired outcome as more closely resulting from the corrected phrase, 'do it to the children (2)'.
(1) (wo) inserted for extra credit. Or for equality/equity.
(2) as biologically determined.
