The most dangerous aspect of the mental affliction of irrationality within an insane state of mind is very unfortunately the inability to think rationally (logically). Unless that intellectual/emotional blockade can be disrupted irrational decisions will persist. Too many times this situation leads to very unhappy endings.
For example, regardless of how many emphatic claims are made by an individual, they will never change their natural gender by thinking they have.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability.
