A personal note on plagiarism. I do not intentionally repeat other's works: words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs or chapters. Of course, it is possible that unknowingly it does occur. There is a lot of literature out there and it is growing and accessible wildly. I do not have the time and wherewithal to research every word etc. I cede any and all attribution to such individual(s) as the circumstances dictate.
As I said in a previous comment, in my opinion giving attribution is more an indicator of the breadth of one's knowledge and experience. Some take a different tact on the issue. A situation I would characterize as a foundational principle of Freedom of Speech. And, you know, the thing (1).

To turn my leering leaching eye to the realm of "Notes", for example "Community Notes" and all other sources of information sometimes also called data either for or not for "checking" or any other purpose such as research. Can there be identified anything that is useless before one's encounter with such note (source)?

What I am quite but not completely sure of is that I would support not preventing anyone from not doing what they do not want to do. However, in some situations I would not recommend such behavior.
