Hasn't government become an alternative to societal personal growth, responsibility and achievement?
So, what is there that makes it worth it for society to keep it?

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
