Liberals, leftists do not have good ideas. What they do have are a lot of people “wishin’ and hopin’ and thinkin’ and prayin’, plannin’ and dreamin’ (1)” that they, the liberals, leftists do have good ideas that will benefit themselves, the wishin‘ and the hopin’.
However, life’s reality is poignantly encapsulated in the lyrics, by Aerosmith – Dream On (2):
Every time that I look in the mirror

The past is gone

Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay, yeah
Because of life’s demands we do not stop to smell the roses, we also do not listen to hear the meaning of the lyrical melodies in songs.
So much knowledge and wisdom, so little time to grasp what everyone of us has still available for our future.
Unfortunately wishing and hoping are not currency for payment of life’s dues. And that makes them ideas with no material use.

Maybe the most self-beneficial reconciling penance administered by/for/to humans is performed by politicians who have a blinding trust in the concept employed as preventative responsibility contained within the theory of plausible deniability. That, on judgement day penance may be translated to the language of individual responsibility and will fail the Judge's inquiry and be passed on as the administration of justice.
