There are similarities in the behavioral influences between a politician in congress and a contestant in a contest. Either one has to decide if their performance decisions are to benefit the judges or the audience? In the congressional arena the judges are everyone other than the citizens who elected them. The citizens are their audience. Congressional behavior has developed over time that places the pressure on a member of congress to work for the “establishment”.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
