The comment stated frequently is that this civilization is dying. Perhaps more accurately as demonstrated in this era, civilization is being canceled by some for themselves and what remains for them is their self-destructive society. The civilized (rational, logical) who comprise the segment that is being cancelled will leave, possibly both figuratively and literally. They will develop a new free civilization. At least a better civilization than the civilization they are leaving.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
