If you think you can think about it, when you do not have to think about your next decision are not you effectively a slave. Every decision has been planned (law, rule, regulation, policy, procedure) for you. That situation is your free life if you made the original decisions. It is a slave’s life if an “authority” made the decisions for you.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
