A dilemma for conservatives is to rid themselves of the notion that liberals (and others) are behaving the way they do because of their “good intentions”. Liberals make their decisions based on the criteria of what is best for themselves not for what is best for others.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
