The path that conservatives especially politicians take should be based on the foundation of their faith. That foundation is Jesus Christ. I paraphrase the metaphor “come to Jesus moment” with the statement “be like Jesus moment”. Jesus was an effective speaker. Jesus did not confront his detractors. At least he did so as infrequently as possible. Jesus worked around the detractors and went to his flock. Conservative politicians who expend all their energy condemning the false issues pushed in front of them can be assured that most people will not know what true issues they face.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
