Perhaps this can be one understandable description of slavery. Every law, rule, regulation, order, or any method that conveys a responsibility onto an individual to do something in a specific manner constructs a fence around your mental or physical ability to do those things differently. How will you describe the society in which you live if everything you do is defined within those constraints. Will you not be a slave to the constraints (laws) with no other options? Just as a slave master would constrain your life.
