Compassion: what the government applies liberally to replace charity which is used by society to help each other.

Note 2: Compassion is intertwined with taxes which are distributed liberally, much of it uselessly to express care from the non-charitable government.

It struck me that the result from the effort to rid the past of the history of slavery now may come to the perfect ending with the elimination of a past problem that doesn't exist now. That itself deserves the "Go figure" award.
