A certainty, perhaps the only certainty in many cases, that results from cheating is defining the person as a cheater. A person usually cheats when they do not have the self-belief that they are competent to complete the task without cheating. Which makes it more likely they do not know what they are doing. If they were successful cheating, you can bet cheating the second, third and fourth times will materialize.
