For those who need a moment to wax nostalgic about the selection and hiring process of President Donald J Trump, consider Donald Rumsfeld’s perceptive and appropriate comment concerning the selection and hiring for war. Rumsfeld’s comment is: “You go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you might want or wish you had at a later time.” Or, as it may be paraphrased to apply to this issue to President Trump, you hire the best people who are available not the people you might want or wish were available now and in the future.
