A less than desirable result from parenthood is when the child becomes what you wanted them to be not what they wanted or continue to want to be. Also, the goal of the son or daughter is and always should be a goal which has not been influenced by others who attempt to act as pseudo parents.

What I am quite but not completely sure of is that I would support not preventing anyone from not doing what they do not want to do. However, in some situations I would not recommend such behavior.
