The circus and carnival venues have declined over the decades. The people looking to work in the clown, freak and fantasy shows seem to have been displaced into government and news, and even “religious” organizations.

To turn my leering leaching eye to the realm of "Notes", for example "Community Notes" and all other sources of information sometimes also called data either for or not for "checking" or any other purpose such as research.
